I have fallen in love with this art form that my daughter, Jen does.  Recently, I had the opportunity to see the process from beginning to end.  Wow, what work it takes to blend the fibers into a solid piece of art!  Jen has always been an artist at heart and ability.  Having studied and earned her degree in Fine Arts, she knows what makes a painting or photograph, or any other art medium stand out.  I believe she truly excels with this art form.  This is not a cookie cutter form of art.  To create her beautiful water felt pieces, she uses her knowledge of composition, blended colors, and design to create art that stands out because it is well done and the finished pieces sparkle and draw the eyes.  It takes a preconceived idea of the finished piece, patience as she blends the fibers, then waits for them to become solid, then she brings the fibers to life with a design she sees in her head.  Amazing process! This year, Jen gave me an Indian Bird String Tota for my birthday.  I was so taken with the beauty of the finished piece that I have now purchased several of them in different lengths for my friends.  They have all loved them!  I love the idea of these as gifts because they are not mass produced and have a beauty that only hand crafting can give them.  If you are looking for a gift, either for yourself or someone else, you can't go wrong with Jen's Bird String Totas.  It's a truly unique gift.

I have purchased 2 items from Jen's art work. The first one was for me! It's a framed piece that goes perfectly on my waĺl with other local art pieces. The second is a small tota piece that I got for my niece for mother's day. She loves it. And I have commissioned a single cardinal tota for a very good friend. Every piece is unique. There is so much attention to details. I've watched Jen's videos, they bring out a calmness in me. I've not seen other art work like these. And she is ever evolving in this medium.
